Orla Kiely at MEANY'S SHOES, Autumn Winter 2015.
Posted on September 21 2015
There are so many exciting looks happening this Autumn/Winter, from over the knee boots to chelsea boots to ‘Boho' block heels! It’s hard to know which of this seasons fab styles to invest in!…..but one of the collections that has really got everyone talking is Orla Kiely’s footwear collaboration with Clarks.
Probably her best collection yet, the range is so on-trend, with the huge wave of early 70’s nostalgia that’s so big in fashion right now, and yet the styles are still so distinctive and unique!
When the range was launched at London Fashion Week earlier in the year, the show was set in a library setting - “the city’s most stylish library as models made their way through bookcases dressed in pretty, prim, retro inspired style for which the designer is known” Vogue said “ typically Irish in her humour and irreverence, Kiely’s designs always entertain.”
The collection is what Orla herself has called "something wow”, from Mary Janes to the perfect chelsea boot and gorgeous patent brogues - that are absolutely Orla! The’ve used really interesting leathers, from patent, pony to mock-croc finishes, with many pieces featuring a statement Orla floral print.
This is sadly Orla Kiely’s last season collaborating with Clarks, as it was a two year project only, so Orla Kiely fans don’t miss out! (Let’s hope that Clarks next designer partnership will be just as wonderful.)
